Add Marketing Pixels and Create Retargeting Audiences

Learn how to add marketing pixels to your Bandsintown Pro account and create retargeting audiences on Meta, Google, TikTok, and X.

Marketing pixels in Bandsintown Pro help you stay connected with fans after they leave your festival page. Once added, your pixels are automatically placed across all relevant pages, so you only need to set them up once. This enables you to run retargeting campaigns on platforms like Meta or Google Ads, helping you stay connected with potential attendees and improve your marketing efficiency.

Add Your Marketing Pixels in Bandsintown Pro

  1. Click Settings in the sidebar

  2. Select the Pixels tab

  3. Paste your pixel IDs in the appropriate fields

  4. Click Save

Accepted Pixel Formats

To ensure your tracking is set up correctly, enter your pixel IDs and tokens in the exact format required by each platform. Below are the accepted formats for each supported integration:

  • Meta Pixel ID: 123456789012345

  • Meta Conversions API Token: EAAG…

  • Google Analytics 4 Measurement ID: G-XXXXXXX

  • Google Ads Tag ID: 12345678912

  • TikTok Pixel ID: ABC123XYZ456DEF789

  • X (Twitter) Ads Pixel ID: a1b2c

Note: It may take up to 24 hours for your changes to reflect.

Find Your Pixel IDs

Meta (Facebook/Instagram)

  1. Go to Meta Events Manager

  2. Select your Pixel under Data Sources

  3. Copy the Pixel ID

  4. To use Conversions API:

    • Click the Settings tab

    • Scroll to Conversions API

    • Click Generate Access Token

    • Copy the token immediately (It won’t be shown again)

Google Analytics 4

  1. Open Google Analytics

  2. Go to Admin > Data Streams

  3. Select your web stream

  4. Copy the Measurement ID (e.g., G-XXXXXXXX)

Google Ads

  1. Log in to Google Ads

  2. Click the Tools & Settings icon

  3. Under Setup, select Google Tag

  4. Copy the Tag ID (use only the numeric portion)

TikTok

  1. Open TikTok Ads Manager

  2. Go to Tools > Events

  3. Select your Pixel

  4. Copy the Pixel ID under the Pixel name

X (Twitter)

  1. Log in to X Ads Manager

  2. Go to Tools > Events Manager

  3. Select your Pixel and copy the Pixel ID

Create Retargeting Audiences

After adding your pixels to Bandsintown Pro, you can build retargeting audiences in your ad platforms

Meta (Facebook/Instagram)

  1. Go to Meta Business Manager

  2. Click the menu icon > Audiences

  3. Click Create Audience > Custom Audience

  4. Choose Website or Offline Activity as the source

  5. Define your rules and name the audience

  6. Click Create Audience

Suggested filters:

  • URL contains /event/

  • Parameter includes event_id or email_event

Note: Bandsintown sends Pixel events for both site visits and email clicks.

Google Ads

  1. Open Google Ads

  2. Go to Tools & Settings > Audience Manager

  3. Click + > Website Visitors

  4. Set your audience rules and name the audience

  5. Click Create Audience

TikTok

  1. Open TikTok Ads Manager

  2. Go to Tools > Audience Manager

  3. Click Create Audience > Website Traffic

  4. Set your audience parameters and name it

  5. Click Confirm

X (Twitter)

  1. Open X Ads Manager

  2. Go to Tools > Audiences

  3. Click Create Audience > Website Activity

  4. Define your criteria and name the audience

  5. Click Create Audience
